Is Apple going to release wireless headphones?

Of course, wireless headphones are nothing new - but, for Apple, it is. A couple of months Apple supposedly acquired Wi-Gear, a San Fransisco-based company, what area do they work in? Bluetooth wireless headphones and Bluetooth 2.0 adapters for older iDevices.
The company is now closed, but one of their co-founders, Michael Kim, is now working for Apple as an iOS Bluetooth Engineer.
Wireless headphones and in-ear pieces? Yes please.
