Mobile App of the Day: Kobo for iPhone and iPad

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 28, 2010 4:51 am

Our Mobile App of the Day today is Kobo for iPhone and iPad.

Kobo may not be the first name you think of when you think of e-readers thanks to the Kindle, but they are making some big waves with the announcement of their Kobo Color and now the updates to their app for the iPhone and iPad.

In addition to the over 1.8 million free books available along with new releases at competitive prices, Kobo now supports magazine and newspaper subscriptions. You can get a 14 day trial of any magazine before beginning to pay for the subscription and e-mags and newspapers are automatically delivered to your device. Other improvements include turning a page with a "page curl" like a real book and touching and holding any word for a definition. Ready to get your reading done? Grab the app on iTunes.
