Publisher of "Angry Birds" acquired by EA
It looks like the publishers of the hit mobile game "Angry Birds" is officially cashing in. Chillingo has been reportedly acquired by gaming bigwig Electronic Arts (EA) for a cool $20 million in cash.

While this acquisition may make it look like the Angry Birds will fly under EA's flag, this will not necessarily be so. Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds, officially owns the rights to the game that has been a popular staple for iPhone owners for quite a while and Android owners who saw it hit their platform in September. With this purchase and the recent acquisition of FaceBook game developer PlayFish, it seems like EA is looking to make serious strides into the mobile market.
