E-books seeing nice gains in sales over last year
While regular books have been seeing a steady decline in sales, authors aren't going to have to find second jobs just yet. E-book sales have risen 193% in the last year according to the Association of American Publishers (AAP), and account for 9% of total trade sales.

E-books have accounted for $263 million dollars in sales so far in 2010, with August seeing a nice number at $39 million which was an increase of 172.4% over last year's sales. With the jump in e-reader apps not only on dedicated devices like the Kindle and Kobo but moving to the iOS and Android platforms, it's no wonder numbers are shifting towards e-books, and this trend should continue.
