BREAKING: Microsoft officially launches Windows Phone 7 at live event

60 companies in 30 countries will be involved at launch

Microsoft is currently holding a joint press conference with AT&T in New York to officially announce the launch of Windows Phone 7. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is giving the keynote address, stating that Microsoft is "focused in on how real people use their phone when they are on the go."

Nine phones will be available when Windows Phone 7 launches in the U.S. in November from companies like LG, HTC, Samsung, and Dell. 60 mobile operators in 30 countries will carry Windows Phone 7 devices.
