Mobile App of the Day: Adobe AIR for Android

Flash games and apps about to get a lot better

| Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 9, 2010 3:23 am

Our Mobile App of the Day today is Adobe AIR for Android.

This may not exactly fall under the app category, but it's too good to pass up. Flash-based games on the Android platform are about to get a lot more exciting. The Adobe AIR plug-in tool has now been released and can now be downloaded from the Android Market. Check out the short demo here:

This little tool will be required for future games and apps that make use of AIR, which is a developer tool that is used in many desktop programs like some Twitter clients and RSS feeds. This also gives devs that aren't as used to working with the Android platform another familiar tool to work with which should increase app production and quality. Apps and games requiring AIR are already popping up on the Android Market, so grab it now and save the download later with the QR code after the jump.
