Microsoft Security Essentials expanding to small business sector

Free on up to ten PCs and solid protection
| Software News | Posted: Sep 30, 2010 6:23 am

Microsoft Security Essentials has quickly become one of the more popular free antivirus programs out there, and now Microsoft is getting ready to expand the program into the small business sector with free installation for up to 10 PCs.

With small businesses having to pinch pennies at every corner, not having to pay for PC protection comes through as a major plus. "Many consumers and an increasing number of small businesses are either unwilling or unable to pay the ongoing subscription costs for the security suite solutions that come on their PCs," stated Eric Foster of Microsoft in his blog. With MSE grading as good or better than some of the most famous free and paid solutions out there, this should be a no-brainer for small business owners needing malware and virus protection.
