MogoTix uses QR codes for paperless event ticketing

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Sep 28, 2010 3:13 am

Paperless ticketing is hitting in a lot of places, and now MogoTix is taking advantage of the smartphone boom to offer up a new mobile ticketing service. MogoTix offers event organizers the ability to publish event websites as well as sell and distribute QR code mobile tickets.

Organizers can also use the MogoTix app to track attendance, access an attendee list, and process the mobile tickets. The platform is also good for end users as they not only have to worry about not losing their tickets, but they also receive the QR codes and event reminders via SMS message. Even if the event attendee doesn't have mobile browsing on their phone, the attendee list can vouch for their purchase on the organizer side. MogoTix charges 99 cents plus 2.5% of the ticket price, which is similar to other ticket outlet prices.
