Droid 2's unused FM radio functionality unlocked

Droid X FM Radio Tools ported to Droid 2

| Mobile Devices News | Posted: Sep 28, 2010 2:25 am

Quite a few people were surprised after seeing an unused FM radio tuner in teardowns of the Droid 2 that the phone does not come with an FM radio function. The Droid X, which does have FM function, had its FM Radio tools ported to the Droid 2. Of course you'll need to have rooted your phone and be able to follow some instructions to get this working on your Droid 2, but isn't it worth it when you have the need for some Top-40 action and are away from your car? A person cannot live by playlists alone. Interested? Give the hack a go here.
