TweakTown is now IE9 Jump List ready, give it a try!

By: (more) | TweakTown News | Posted: Sep 16, 2010 7:39 pm

Yesterday all the rage was the big announcement of the Internet Explorer 9 beta by Microsoft. One of the many new features it brings to the table is support for pinning websites to your taskbar as well as website jump lists.

You probably would have seen jump lists before with some of your favorite desktop applications. Such as with Windows Messenger Live you can quickly change your status without actually opening the program. For TweakTown we have added some handy quick links to our jump lists including Latest News, Reviews, Articles, SBG and Contact Us with some nice looking icons to go along with it. We would have added more, but there is a maximum limit of five.

Want to give it a try? First you will need to be using the IE9 beta that came out yesterday (grab it here). Once you are in IE9, just locate our blue "TT" favicon to the left of the URL in the address bar and click and drag it down to your taskbar. That will pin TweakTown to your taskbar. Now right click on it and you will see a list of jump list items to quickly access some of the best parts of our website.

Let us know what you think!
