Microsoft launching IE9 Beta in roughly three hours

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: Sep 15, 2010 2:24 pm

In roughly three hours from now, Microsoft will be holding a press event in San Francisco at it's Beauty of the Web launch to launch the first public version of Internet Explorer 9 (beta).

"On Wednesday, Sept. 15, Microsoft will announce the beta of Internet Explorer 9 at a worldwide press event in San Francisco. The live webcast of the event and news of Internet Explorer 9 Beta will be available at 10:30 am PDT Wednesday."

It seems a bit odd for Microsoft to be making such a big deal and holding a serious event for a beta, but clearly it is a big launch for Microsoft. You can tune into the live webcast of the event over at this website to see the blows and spills as they happen.

What is the main event going to be like when IE9 actually goes RTM?

UPDATE: Live stream is on now here.
