XFX announces single slot HD 5770 video card

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Aug 20, 2010 7:04 pm

XFX was at first only selling NVIDIA video cards. Over the last few years, the company has added a full assortment of ATI branded Radeon video cards covering all sorts of uses from HTPC to high-end gaming. The latest video card to come from XFX is the Radeon HD 5770 in a single slot flavor.

The new card is available in a version with five mini DisplayPorts while the basic version has a single mini-display port. The single slot card has a special heat sink and fan setup that has 15% more heatpipe surface area allowing the card to run cooler inside a cramped chassis. The special heat sink system is also designed for low noise with up to 23.5dB lower noise production than the dual slot card.

Both versions of the card have the same specifications. They both have 1GB of GDDR5 RAM clocked at 4800MHz. The cards has 800 stream processors and the GPU clock runs at 850MHz. Other than being single slot cards, they are the same as the dual slot feature wise. The features include support for Eyefinity, DirectX 11 and more.
