Dell Streak found easier to disassemble that most gadgets

So what do you do when you get your hands on a $550 USD gadget? Well, if you're one of the folks at iFixit, you completely tear it apart and see what makes it tick. The photo below shows the carnage of their latest teardown effort; the Dell Streak.

 

 

The 5" smartphone/tablet hybrid shows a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon CPU as the brains of the unit, which is a "similar" chip to the one in the iPhone 4. iFixit also noted with their "fixability" rating of 8/10 that the Streak would be fairly easy to repair for simple thing like battery replacement. Looks easier than tearing into an iPod, anyways……
