TweakTown Admiral SBG PC now tops $14,000 USD

By: (more) | Computer Systems News | Posted: Aug 18, 2010 4:08 pm

We just got done with our weekly update of the TweakTown SBG systems and the unlimited price Admiral PC saw most of the attention.

Removed was a standard SAPPHIRE HD 5970 video card and it was replaced with the faster SAPPHIRE HD 5970 4GB TOXIC Edition. Enabling the system with an insane amount of 3D performance, we have recommended not only one of these video cards, but two, since the GIGABYTE X58A-UD9 motherboard can handle it.

Also changed was the memory with the addition of G.SKILL's fastest triple-channel RAM kit called the PI + Turbulence II 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3-2000. It even comes with active cooling to keep things under control. With these changes now in place, the Admiral SBG PC now comes in at a totally unreasonable and ridiculous $14,102 USD!

The other two more practical and affordable systems stayed relatively the same except with some price and link corrections.
