Facebook for Android revamped

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Aug 4, 2010 8:19 pm

One of the largest gripes among the mostly happy Android userbase has been the Facebook app. The words clunky, difficult, and painful seem to be common terms used to describe the official Android Facebook app. Today they are trying to punch a hole in those arguments as Facebook for Android has gotten a fairly major facelift. Before you ask, Facebook Chat is still not available yet.

Quite a few changes have been made, though. A picture timeline now sits near the bottom for your News Feed, while Notifications have their own "drawer" underneath the timeline so you have instant access to hem as soon as the app opens. Photos and comments are also handled within the app as well, seriously reducing the amount of time you spend getting bumped from the app to the Facebook touch site. Even "Like" is now only a touch away. Grab it from the Android Market and give it a go today.
