When it comes to storing sensitive government files and documents on a flash drive, the contents of the files have to be protected from unauthorized access. That means that the files have to be encrypted.

For governments to use these drives they often have to carry certifications that are government approved. MXI Security has announced a new flash drive called the M600 that is government approved for the UK with CESG CAPS certification.

The certificate also uses a Bluefly Portable Security Processor, which claims to be the world's first dedicated hardware security processor. The drive is designed to protect from all forms of malware. MXI also has the US Government FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Validation on the flash drive as well.
