Telstra boost data limits for post paid customers

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 29, 2010 9:27 am

Good news for those of you looking for a new handset and larger data pools to splash in on the best network in Oz. If you pick up a new iPhone 4 or 3GS, HTC Desire or Nokia N97 Mini smart phone on an applicable post paid plan from Telstra, they've announced today you will get increased data limits in doing so.

The boosts in data allowance range from 300MB up to a massive 5GB extra for the top most plans. In closer detail, if you go for one of the aforementioned handsets on a Telstra $79 Consumer Cap plan, you will now get 1GB of data included; up 500MB from the previous allowance on this plan.

If you shoot for a $129 a month plan which previously gave 1GB of data, now you get a whopping 6GB a month to play with. Similar data allowance upgrades are also said to be applicable to Telstra's Ultimate II plans.

Both new and existing customers on these plans/phones will be given the increases up until November 1st this year.
