SDX1 camcorder records full HD and works for Skype video chat

Panasonic has finally run out of steam with the introduction of its last new camera for the day. The camcorder is called the SDX1 and claims to be the world's lightest full-HD camcorder capable of video calling.

The camera can be hooked to your computer via USB and used as a webcam and for making video calls via Skype. The camera has a 23x intelligent zoom lens and the lens is 38.5mm wide angle.

The camera weighs under 0.41 pounds and has a 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD. The camera features hybrid image stabilization and AF/AE tracking. That last feature locks the focus and exposure settings onto a subject touched on the screen. The SDX1 will ship in September for $499.95.
