ASUS, Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung hopping on the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 23, 2010 5:27 am

After the report earlier today stating AT&T would be invesing in 8 million Windows Phone 7 devices, I wondered how widespread the devices could possibly be. It seems that a lot of companies will indeed be onboard with Microsoft's latest mobile OS. Five major manufacturers are reportedly coming out with Windows Phone 7 devices.

ASUS, LG, and Samsung had already been confirmed as being ready for Windows Phone 7, but now it seems you can add Dell and HTC to the mix. With Windows Phone 7 reportedly slated for release "during the holidays," there's still no definite timetable for when we will be able to lay our hands on these devices. But with so many high end companies on board, it would take a lot of effort for Windows Phone 7 devices not to become a major player in our currently iPhone/Android soaked mobile world.
