Nook e-reader app now available for Android

Barnes and Noble has released their Nook e-reader app for Android devices today; following in the footsteps of Kindle in trying to make their e-reader app available over any mobile device.

 

 

The Nook app, which offers the ability to pick up in a book where you left off in another device and access to the Nook eBookstore with over a million titles, also boasts "the only Android e-reader application to offer eBook lending." Nook for the iPohne and iPad are stated to be available "in the coming months, so if you're rocking Android 1.6 or above, the free Nook app is ready to grab in the Android Market.
