MiniPak HydroFill fuel cell charger ships on August 9

By: (more) | Peripherals News | Posted: Jul 22, 2010 6:02 pm

I have been waiting for fuel cells to hit the market so we can charge our gadgets without having to stop and plug them in. There have been plenty of prototype fuel cell chargers, but few have actually made it to the open market.

A new fuel cell that is claimed to be the first small scale hydrogen fuel cell station in the world is set to ship on August 9. The device is called the HydroFill. You put water into the tank of the device and then plug it into the wall outlet or a solar panel.

The hydrogen is then generated and sent directly to the HydroStik cartridge for use in the MiniPak or other fuel cell devices. The device will sell for $499.99. The MiniPAK is $99.99 and each HydroStik is $9.99.
