Looking for one of the better Android hand sets on the Australian market? There's a lot of rubbishy ones out there that will have you regretting your purchase before long, but the folks at APC learn with their sample of Samsung's Galaxy S smart phone equipped with Android 2.1 from Optus is a serious iPhone competitor.

This phone uses an ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor, believed to be similar to what is used in the iPhone 4. It's equipped with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, 2GB of which is used for program space and the rest for general purpose storage. There's also the ability to add up to 32GB of expandable memory to this hand set.

The feature set is vast. Head over to the source where APC show you all the ins and outs to help you determine if this is the sort of hand set you want in your pocket.
