3D Driving Sim to assist Victorian learner drivers

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 20, 2010 8:42 am

Victoria's premier John Brumby today announced the launch of a website based 3D online driving simulation test for the purposes of better assisting Victorians looking to undergo their Learner Permit Test.

The software had first debuted at St. Helena Secondary College with year 10 students; it uses part of the Drive iQ learner test software.

Brumby had this to say; "We are always looking for new ways to engage with the next generation of young drivers and provide them with the best opportunities to learn about how to be safe on our roads."

Roads and Ports Minister, Tim Pallas feels that these new tools along with the benefits of their Graduated Licensing System (GLS) will provide more road safety experience for young people learning to drive, in a safe environment as a helpful stepping stone in preparing for the pressure of real world testing.
