HP delays Android tablet project

HP Android tablet not coming this year

AllThingsD reports that HP has put its Android tablet plans on hold. The Android HP tablet was expected to hit the market in Q4 of this year. HP is still apparently working on the Windows 7 and WebOS tablets.

The delay of the Android tablet comes as no real surprise considering the premium HP paid for Palm just to get WebOS. The Android tablet would be a much more direct competitor on the tablet market to WebOS than Windows 7 will be.
