iPhone 4 unlocked by developers

Cydia shown running; possibly only a temporary fix

For those of us in the U.S., owning an iPhone usually means being tied to AT&T. This doesn't stop developers from doing their thing and now the first unlocked iPhone 4 has reared it's pretty little head in Canada thanks to PlanetBeing and MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team.

This soft-unlocked phone, running, iOS4, required a rewrite of the entire ultrasn0w software due o the iPhone 4's baseband. While his may only be a temporary solution with future firmware updates from Apple, it's still fun to see what is possible outside the umbrella of AT&T. Here's a look at Cydia running on the phone:
