By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 8, 2010 3:40 am

Borders is trying to elbow into the eBook market as they have released Borders eBooks, which is a multi-platform store that can run on a multitude of devices, including PCs and Macs, Kobo and Sony e-readers, Apple's iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, and soon on Blackberry and Android gadgets.

Borders, which is one of the companies behind the Kobo e-reader device, will be selling over a million titles mostly in ePub format although some mobile specific and PDF versions will be available as well. No digital magazines or newspapers are planned to be available right off the bat.
