Apple waiving restocking fees for iPhone 4 returns

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 6, 2010 1:37 am

Apple is throwing a bone to grumpy iPhone 4 customers who have been trying to return their iPhone 4 for the many connection and antenna issues that have been plaguing the device, only to be hit with a restocking fee. Apple is waiving this 10% fee for those looking to return their iPhone 4 after a wave of complaints by customers who have gone back and forth with customer support about these issues.

Apple is supposedly working on a software fix to address some of the antenna, Bluetooth, and other issues but a promise of a fix won't work for many who are skeptical and with Apple facing lawsuits among other things, this could be a good move to gain some positive PR. 20 to 30 bucks may not seem like a huge deal to some, but it's nice to know that you won't have to shell out more money after dealing with these issues.
