Sony Dash now useable worldwide

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 2, 2010 2:57 am

The Sony Dash, Sony's "personal internet viewer," has up until now only been able to work in the U.S. That restriction has been lifted, so now the Dash can be used worldwide. The Dash is a 7" touchscreen device that uses tons of apps to give you a ton of the most used internet items like social networking and Youtube all in a snap. It's also one of the most expensive, but coolest, alarm clocks you'll ever lay your hands on.

Sony does warn that "many providers automatically geo-filter their content so your experience with your Dash may vary depending on your location." Chumby, the app store used with the Dash, is also U.S. exclusive still so there will be no new apps grabbed while abroad.
