PopBox delayed until late July

PopBox delayed a few weeks

| HT & Movies News | Posted: Jul 1, 2010 6:32 pm

The Syabas PopBox was on display back during CES and the thing looked pretty darn cool. If you were among the many that were eagerly waiting for it to launch so you could buy, we have a bit of bad news for you.

The thing was up for preorder back in April at Amazon and now we hear that the PopBox has been delayed until July 23. Apparently, the culprit is the software, not the firmware for the device.

Once it does launch the PopBox will come to market missing Netflix compatibility. It will sport YouTube, Photobucket, and Twitter access among many others. PopBox also says that future premium content will be supported as well. I bet Hulu Plus is coming.
