Lucasfilm says no to wicked Lasers Pro Arctic Plus laser

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: Jul 1, 2010 4:30 pm

A few weeks back wicked lasers pulled the wraps off an awesome blue laser that reminded many geeks of Star Wars. The laser carried a disclaimer that said it could instantly burn skin and blind users making me want it bad.

Lucasfilm has issues a cease and desist order to try and get Wicked to pull the laser off the market for looking like a lightsaber. This makes me only want one more honestly.

The cease and desist letter stated, "It has come to our attention that a company called Wicked Lasers is selling a highly dangerous product out of Hong Kong that is designed to look like a lightsaber from Star Wars. This product is not licensed or approved by Lucasfilm in any way. We have demanded that Wicked Lasers immediately cease and desist their infringing activities. As Wicked Lasers itself admits, this product can cause serious injury to the user and other people. We strongly discourage consumers from purchasing it."
