October confirmed for Windows Phone 7 launch

No further details released, but short demo included

| Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jun 25, 2010 11:55 pm

During a presentation and demo today, Windows Phone 7 was announced to be coming in October. Microsoft's Vice President of Marketing gave a short demo of the device but was fairly vague on whether the October release would be when it is ready for phone implementation or when new phones with the Mobile OS will be priced and announced.

While October seems far away for those who are trying to hold off joining the iPhone and Android crowd, hopefully the extra time will mean an OS done right with great features and few bugs. A guy can hope, can't he?
