White iPhone 4 delayed due to manufacturing problems

On the day before the official iPhone 4 launch in Britain, France, Germany, Japan and the United States, Apple has said that the white version of the iPhone 4 would not be available for nearly another month due to what they are calling a "manufacturing glitch." Black iPhone 4 supplies are not said to be affected by this glitch.
According to an Apple spokesman, "White models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected."
With the issues that have continued to surround iPad availability worldwide and the pre-order issues that the iPhone 4 has faced already, this would not seem to be very good for Apple in the customer's eye. But then again, this will also most likely create an even higher demand for the product, just like the "must have" Christmas toy there seems to be every year. Just please be careful during the in-store launch tomorrow and try not to injure fellow shoppers around you, please?
