By: (more) | Displays & Projectors News | Posted: Jun 21, 2010 1:37 pm

ViewSonic has just released a new famil of energy efficient widescreen monitors it calls the VG28. These monitors have both Energy Star 5.0 and EPEAT certifications, featuring an ECO mode that can give up to 30% in power savings.

There are four models in the line-up; a 20inch, 22-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch. All of them have a 5ms response time, give a dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and have DVI inputs (with the 27-inch model also having HDMI) as well as USB ports. 2W speakers are integrated into all of the models in the line-up, too.

As for native resolutions on these panels, the 20-inch is 1600x900 whilst the rest of them sport 1920x1080 Full HD. MSRP pricing on the 20, 22, 24 and 27 monitors come in at $249, $299, $369 and $579.
