All Nokia smartphones to support NFC starting in 2011
Nokia's VP for markets Anssi Vanjoki was onhand making a keynote presentation in Helsinki on Thursday and announced that every Nokia smartphone built from 2011 forward would be equipped with Near-Field Communications (NFC) technology.

This technology, which enables Nokia phone users to make payments by waving their phone in front of a compatible device, will also support all business models of the technology and not just the Single Wire Protocol which previous phones have supported. This will also allow third party app developers to create SDKs to communicate with a microSD card instead of just the SIM card, and one is reported to be currently under development.
