The global e-reader service Kobo has announced availability today of their e-reading application for Android. Kobo's store of over two million e-books as well as their e-reading service is now available for free via the Android Market. Current Kobo users can keep their same login information and access content they already have through any Android based phone, tablet, or other mobile device.

"Now the fastest-growing mobile platform, Android has many new devices that are great for eReading and we're excited to deliver Kobo to the millions of Android users around the world," said Michael Serbinis, CEO of Kobo. "We've adapted the features our customers love and expect from Kobo to ensure that we provide the best reading experience for Android-enabled smartphones. In the near future, Kobo will support other Android-enabled devices such as tablets, netbooks and eReaders."
