Microsoft putting their money behind Windows Phone 7 games

The folks at Microsoft are hoping to make Windows Phone 7 a lot of fun for end users, and are putting their money where their mouths are to make that happen. Rumor has it that Microsoft is contacting iPhone game developers and offering cash for them to port their games to Windows Phone 7. The challenge with this is that the differences in the two platforms make porting games from one device to the other a fairly large project. A developer that told Pocketgamer.biz about being contacted by Microsoft said he turned down a "substantial" offer from Microsoft; turning it down only because of the amount of work required for the effort.
