We've heard little from PC cooling specialists Gelid in recent times, but they're back in the spotlight once again after putting the finishing touches on their latest VGA cooler, the ICY VISION.

This cooler can be mounted to a good range of cards with support for the GeForce 9800 series, GTX 200, GTX 400 as well as AMD's Radeon HD 4800 and HD 5800 series cards.

It looks like a well designed arrangement with a large aluminum fin array with full copper base and the assistance of five heatpipes for heat transfer. The active cooling configuration comprises a couple 92mm UV-reactive ball bearing fans; these operating at a rate of 2000RPMs with just 26 dBA of noise.

Gelid is backing the ICY VISION with a 5 year warranty and is preparing these for the mass market by the end of this month with pricing at about 55 bucks U.S.
