Amazon Kindle's first waterproof case - the M-Edge Guardian

If you are one of those who can put an electronic device through hell and back, you know the usefulness of a good protective case. M-Edge released the first waterproof case for the Amazon Kindle, called the Guardian. The guys at Wired put it through its paces and report that the case will survive a trip into the bathtub, to the beach, and even a cycle through the dishwasher all while keeping your Kindle away from those elements.
The knocks seem to be that the power button is unusable, so make sure you're not a super slow reader and the keyboard and joystick can be tough to use too. That and at almost 18 ounces this case is as heavy as it is solid. But with this kind of protection, who cares about a few extra ounces?
The Guardian looks to go for about $80 so you'll take a hit to your wallet as well, but the first time Junior gets a hold of your Kindle and chucks it down the stairs or into the toilet, that may not be too much for good insurance. Check out the complete review at the source link.
