Motorola Flipout launched

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jun 3, 2010 12:09 am

Motorola's latest funky flavored handset has been released; the FlipOut. With 7 different color options, customizable home screens, a square shape, 3MP camera, and QUERTY keyboard with a separate row for number keys this looks like the latest must have for teenage text fiends everywhere.

The FlipOut runs on Android 2.1 with enhanced MOTOBLUR features to sync up with social network sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as pinch and zoom features for web browsing and photo sharing. People will most likely think of the Backflip due to the form factor according to analyst Avi Greengart. "The Backflip's form factor does help the phone stand out at retail. It's a different-looking kind of phone than everything else out there," Greengart said. "So polarizing form factors like this one are sometimes good. If you are polarized, that means some people hate it and some people love it. It's not vanilla."
