Sony unveils Billabong branded VAIO W in bright colors

By: (more) | Computer Systems News | Posted: Jun 2, 2010 7:08 pm

Sony has a lot of computers crammed into its VAIO line. The VAIO W series of netbooks was launched a while back and includes your basic netbooks at a price of about $450. Sony has announced a new special edition version of the VAIO W.

The special edition version is the VAIO W Imperial Lime Edition with a design inspired by and braded by surf clothing maker Billabong. The machine has bright stripped pattern on the lid and underneath the looks it is the same netbook we have already seen.

The little rig has a 10.1-inch LED backlit screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution. It stores data to a 250GB HDD and runs Windows 7 Starter. Other features include a 1.66GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and a promised 8-hour battery life. The Billabong edition starts at $500.
