Apple has been selling a lot of iPads since the device launched a couple months back. The iPad sold so well in the US that the device was delayed in launching to the UK and other parts of the world due to the high demand for the tablet.
Apple has announced today that it has now sold 2 million iPads in the less than 60 days since the iPad landed on the market. The iPad started shipping in the UK and several other countries just the past weekend.
Along with the announcement of the sales number, Apple also reported that developers have created more than 5000 apps specifically for the iPad in the app store. "Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone."
