Cerevo Cam Live! camera debuts

By: (more) | Posted: May 20, 2010 3:08 pm

Last year gadget fans in Japan could get their hands on the slick Cerevo Cam that lets you upload images or video from wherever you happen to be thanks to 3G and WiFi connectivity. The camera makes it easy to get video onto YouTube, but is only in Japan.

A new camera that is similar has debuted called the Cerevo Cam Live. The camera is the first to support Ustream digital streaming capability. What that means is that the video from the device can be streamed live over the internet in 352 x 288 resolution.

If you happen to have smuggled one of the things out of Japan, you can get a future firmware update for free to add Ustream to existing cameras. The gadget also sports a 2.4-inch LCD and a microSD card slot. It's still a Japan only item selling for about $216.
