Packard Bell take on AMDs VISION for EasyNote TM laptops
Packard Bell are planning to extend their EasyNote TM series of 15.6-inch sized notebooks with some AMD Danube powered models coming out this summer. Existing models in the series are all powered by Intel's Calpella platform, whilst these upcoming 'AMD VISION' units will give options for up to a quad-core Phenom II processor and DX11 graphics.

As shown above, the new series will be available in four colours - NightSky Black, Silk Silver, Starlight White and Cashmere Red. Configuration options include up to 640GB of storage, choice of DVD or Blu-ray drive, multi-card reader and HDMI output. Packard Bell will also include a Social Networks key enabling quick connection to contacts on Facebook, YouTube and Flickr as well as a copy of Adobe's Photoshop Elements 8.
These laptops will be pre-loaded with Windows 7 and will come out sometime this summer at a base price equivilent to £449.
