Asus netbook with mobile phone module in the works?

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: May 17, 2010 5:12 pm

Asus has a netbook that meets just about any need a user might have. The company has one of the most diverse ranges of netbooks anywhere. A new netbook is in the works according to reports that has a cool new feature that will grab the attention of users looking save money on data plans.

The new netbook is said to have a phone module that plugs into the netbook. The purpose of the module is to let the user talk on the phone when the netbook isn't needed and then let the 3G data connection be shared between the devices when the user wants the netbook.

The device would let users have only one data plan for both the netbook and the mobile device. Considering that lots of devices aren't capable of being tethered, the device makes sense. However, the phone had better be decent.
