ViewSonic go greener with new low power 22-inch LED backlit display

By: (more) | Displays & Projectors News | Posted: May 13, 2010 12:44 pm

ViewSonic squeeze another 22-inch (21.5-inch viewable) monitor into their line-up today, with this one boasting some very impressive power savings that makes it one of the 'greenest' LCDs ViewSonic has brought to market.

With a typical power consumption of just 26W, the VX2250wm-LED is said to provide up to 40% energy savings when compared to standard CCFL-backlit displays. In terms of specs, the monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080, it has a 5ms response time, brightness of 250 cd/m2, contrast ratio at 1,000:1, a pair of built in 2W speakers and connection for D-Sub and DVI.

The VX2250wm-LED can now be pre-ordered for $190 U.S. and shipments are said to start rolling out on May 26.
