Kaleidescape unveils new movie players

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: May 12, 2010 5:06 pm

There have been media servers on the market for a long time now that could stream digital video and music all around the house to different rooms. Kaleidescape has unveiled a couple new movie players that can stream CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray films to other rooms.

The devices include the M500 and the M300. The M500 is capable or ripping Blu-ray films and other content to a server for streaming around the home. The Blu-ray disc does have to be in the player for the Blu-ray films to be viewed.

The M300 and M500 create the world's first multi-zone movie server for Blu-ray films. The company is working on a multi-disc server that will make sending Blu-ray and other content around the home easier. The devices are far from cheap though with the M300 selling for $2495 and the M500 going for $3995.
