Atlona first to bring HDMI 1.4 "flat" cables to market
U.S. based HDMI cable maker Atlona was the first to introduce a flat cable designed HDMI (1.3b) cable to market back in 2006 which was said to maximize distance and eliminate conductor cross talk; not to mention, it makes for cleaner/easier laying on a floor or wall and looks kinda funky, too.

The company has just rolled out an update using the same flat cable design with some HDMI 1.4 spec'd cables; the first HDMI 1.4 cables to use this flat cable shape. You can buy these HDMI 1.4 flat cables in lengths ranging from 3 to 50 feet starting at $39.99 U.S.
