Crucial's RealSSD C300 TRIM woes almost over

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: May 1, 2010 5:09 am

Good news for RealSSD C300 owners. We've just learned that Crucial is planning to release an updated firmware for the RealSSD C300 on Tuesday May 4th, 2010. No word yet on all of the changes but we are expecting the TRIM bug to be fixed in the firmware.

Many users after using their C300's for more than a week have noticed severe reductions in write speeds. The performance degradation was attributed to a bug in the firmware that was not allowing TRIM to function properly.

We'll be sure to give you a heads up once it's available.
