MSI unleash X58 powered Big Bang-XPower motherboard

MSI has just officially launched another fully featured enthusiast motherboard under its Big Bang line-up which sits right at the top end, using the X58 chipset.

 

Dubbed the Big Bang-XPower, being based on the X58 chipset it has support out of the box for the mighty Core i7-980X six-core CPU and is packed full of features from head to toe including USB 3.0 support, SATA 6Gbps support, CrossfireX and SLI support and much more.

 

 

The board uses a 16 Phase DrMOS PWM and can take additional power from dual 8-pin CPU power connectors for further overclock stability. All the best components are used including Hi-c/Solid caps and Icy Chokes for further stability and longetivity.

 

 

Other features include a bundled Quantum Wave sound card with built-in Creative EAX 5.0 and THX TruStudio PRO technology as well as several MSI exclusive technologies including OC Genie, OC Dashboard and also their V-Kit which provides system monitoring and voltage CPU VCore, VTT, DDR and PCH) adjustment on the fly.
