Well do I have some news for you today, I would have done some again in the early hours this morning but very little was in then and I needed some sleep, so lets get started.

FIC Release Awesome New Bluetooth Pocket PC

Taipei: 14 March 2002- First International Computers, Inc today announces the launch of a new handheld device. The Pocket PC will add to the impressive range of mobile technology and internet appliances already available from the company.

At CeBIT today Gene Sheu, president of FIC's Networking Information Group commented, "Once again FIC has produced smaller, faster and better technology. There is no doubt in my mind that this device is going to be a winner."

And Gene Sheu is not the only one getting excited; the FIC Pocket PC is already arousing media interest around the globe. A very significant number of advanced orders have already been placed by customers in Central America. The demand is understandable; the Pocket PC really is something special and it's going to hit the market well ahead of the competition.

Feature Packed
The FIC Pocket PC is more than just a PDA, the device is packed with features and not the usual gimmicks. At the core of the device is the latest Microsoft(r) Pocket PC 2002 Premium Edition. The unit also comes with pocket versions of Word, Outlook, MSN Messenger, Excel, Internet Explorer, Media Player and a host of other utilities. A choice of processors is available and expansion is easy using the SD card slot, compact flash slot or USB interface.

However, the thing that really sets the FIC Pocket PC apart from the competition is the wireless capability. FIC had the remarkable foresight to give the Pocket PC Bluetooth functionality. Inside the device is an embedded Bluetooth module that gives users instant, trouble free Bluetooth power and that is what users are going to be really impressed with. As if that wasn't enough, the Pocket PC also carries an IrDA module for instant Infra Red wireless communication too.

Specifications:
- l Choice of Intel(r) StrongARM 206MHz or Intel(r) Xscale processors
- l 32MB Flash ROM and 64MB SDRAM
- l TFT LCD Touch Screen
- l Compact flash expansion slot
- l SD card expansion slot
- l On-board Bluetooth and IrDA
- l Comes complete with Microsoft(r) Pocket PC 2002 including GUI shell, Browser, Pocket Word, Mailer, PC Sync, PIM, Pocket IE, Pocket Inbox, MS Active Sync and voice recorder.
